At the base of it all, we want to know: how do boys think? Well, ask no more because I have had the honor and privilege of asking two Godly, kind, smart and funny teenage boys YOUR questions! So sit back, grab some lemonade and dive in!

1) Would you want to know if I had a crush on you? Or keep it a secret? Or tell through friends?

E &J: Please tell us, we would love to know. We don’t like guessing games or awkward moments.

2) Why do you like girls? / What is the main reason you like a girl?

J: Looks are a secondary thing for me. Someone who is enjoyable to be around, a good sense of humor but able to carry a serious conversation.

E: Smile and laugh draw me in and your character carries it further.

3) Does it matter how pretty we are?

J: Good hygiene is important *said with laughs* But there is no set in stone format for a pretty girl.

E: Looks do matter because it attracts us and brings us in, but we do care about who you are as a person. Different men find different things that are attractive.

4) Why do boys try so hard to impress us?

J: Personally, I want them to believe I’m worth their time.

E: I impress because I like people to see what I can do.

5) Why do boys act so mean and rude when they like you?

J & E: It’s the way we feel comfortable doing it. We’re not girls, we’re not as blunt and open. How we communicate with our guy friends is pushing and making fun and jokes. When we’re younger, we may carry that over into a relationship with a girl without realizing that’s not how girl’s like to communicate.

6) Do you want us to talk to you and try to be your friend if you like us, or should we leave you alone?

J: If you like us please be clear, but if you want to just be friends, don’t act flirty. But if you do like us, don’t be distant.

E: If you know that we like you and you just want to be our friend, be very clear about that. Please don’t lead us on. Tell us your intentions.

7) Why is it so hard for you boys to stay loyal?

J: I can’t answer that; I don’t know because if you love and care for someone you should always be loyal.

E: We are all flawed. We all deal with temptations and if we’re weak in loyalty the devil will use that against us.

8) Also, what inclines you to lie to a girl?

J: Fear and sin. If you do something wrong, your instinct is to hide the sin instead of being truthful.

E: We are flawed human beings. We (me and J) try not to lie to those we care about.

9) How come boys don't just tell us the truth when they don't want to date us?

J &E: The don’t want to hurt you. We haven’t done this personally but we know we would feel bad hurting someone’s feelings.

10) Why do boys judge a girl's body by their size/weight, and how they look? Girls have feelings and might starve themselves to be skinny and liked by a boy.

J: That just comes down to a bad personality. It happens to boys, too. There’s pressure to have six pack abs or no one will like you.

E: Their parents raised them wrong. I don’t even know why someone would do that. It’s awful. However, books and movies written by woman are pressuring men to be these muscular dudes. Another reason is that, they are insecure about themselves so they point out the flaws in others.

11) Why can't the boy just break up with us instead of cheating?

J: For people like that they need a back-up. It’s a horrible thing to do. They know that if they broke up with you they wouldn’t have any sort of chance at a permanent relationship.

E: They don’t know how. They’re afraid of loneliness.

12) How come boys know that periods are a natural (and sometimes embarrassing thing) but feel the need to make fun of girls publicly if an unused pad or tampon falls out of their purse?

J&E: Immaturity. They think it’s funny because they’re insecure about it. It’s different for us and we don’t know how to treat different.

13) Is there "boy codes"? If so, what are they?

J &E: The first rule about bro code is that you can’t leak secrets about bro code. There are seventeen rules we are not allowed to share with you other than the first.

14) Why are you guys always so shy to just ask a girl out?

J&E: Fear of rejection. It’s safer to not. If we do not know if the girl likes us or not, how are we supposed to be confident in asking. We have emotions and fear heartbreak as well.

15) What are your thoughts on prom?

J&E: It’s scary until you get there *laughs* It’s fun to go with someone you enjoy spending time with. It’s definitely not for everyone. The funny thing is the most stressful parts are what happens before prom: asking the date, getting the flowers, driving to the girl’s house and seeing her in her dress for the first time in front of her parents.

16) What do you actually do when you’re hanging out with friends?

J&E: We play video games and we talk about the video games. We dumb jokes, we eat food, we {personally} don’t drink or do drugs. We just like to hang out, we don’t usually talk about girls. You only talk about girls with your best friend, not all your friends.
