You Asked! We Listened.

You Want in the Magazine?
Girl, Say Less!

The DMs. The emails. The “WAIT, HOW DO I GET FEATURED?!” messages. GIRLS. WE HEAR YOU. LOUD AND CLEAR!

Introducing Literally, Her. Our brand-new 2027 feature starring... potentially YOU. Not an influencer. Not a celebrity. Not a girl with 47K followers and a color-coded morning routine. YOU. YES, ACTUAL YOU. Your faith. Your friendships. Your hot takes. Your hilarious moments. Your real-life, still-figuring-it-out, Jesus-loving self. Because you don't need a platform to have a story worth telling. And we think it's about time the girls reading the magazine got to BE the girls in the magazine. 2027 IS OUR PILOT YEAR. SIX ISSUES. SIX GIRLS. ONE OF THEM COULD BE YOU.

Okay, future magazine girlie. Here's the tea.

01 / THE FORM IS YOUR FIRST STOP. Our application goes live December 20! You'll get to tell us a little about yourself, your faith, your story, and what makes you unapologetically YOU.

02 / MARK YOUR CALENDAR, BESTIE. Applications for our very first February 2027 feature officially open December 20, 2026 and close on January 20, 2027. Consider this your extremely enthusiastic heads-up.

03 / WE PICK OUR GIRL. We'll review applications and select one girl per issue throughout 2027. We're starting small, seeing how it goes, and potentially inviting even more girls into the fun in 2028.

04 / YOU'RE LITERALLY, HER. If selected, you'll be featured in a fun, personality-packed Q&A! The deep stuff. The funny stuff. The “WAIT, SAME” stuff. Your first name only, a custom digital illustration created from your photo, and a shoutout on our Meet Our Contributors page.

05 / MOM, HI. WE SEE YOU. We'll collect the necessary parent or guardian permission before publishing. We never print your daughter's last name, and her submitted photo will be transformed into a digital illustration for the feature.

READY FOR YOUR MAIN CHARACTER MAGAZINE MOMENT?

No fame required. No perfect testimony necessary. Just a real girl with a real story and a really big God. APPLICATIONS FOR FEBRUARY OPEN DECEMBER 20!

SAME GIRLS. DIFFERENT STORIES. ONE BIG GOD!

How to Pitch

Before you slide into our inbox (or form), here’s the deal:

  • Pitch only, please. Don’t send full drafts. We want original ideas that haven’t been published anywhere else.

  • Include these in your pitch:

    • A headline (what’s your piece called?)

    • Where you’ve been published (links if you have ‘em)

    • A paragraph summary (what’s the vibe?)

    • Your angle in 2–3 sentences (why now, why this?)

    • Social links (Website, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter—wherever your voice lives)

Pro Tips for a Killer Pitch

1. Know Literally
Read our About section. Get the feel. This magazine is faith-forward, bold, and unapologetically teen girl-centric. Make your pitch feel like it belongs here.

2. Don’t ghost us
Your idea might be fire, but we need a way to reach you. Include your email or we can’t follow up.

3. Keep it snappy
Show us the picture of your piece in a few punchy sentences. We love clarity and energy over long, meandering explanations.

4. Stick to the guidelines
We can’t promise we’ll review pitches that ignore the rules, so do yourself a favor and follow the checklist.

5. Patience, grasshopper
We get a lot of submissions (yay, you’re popular!). We try to respond within 2 weeks, but if you don’t hear back, don’t sweat it. Timing is everything.

Who We’re Looking For

We want writers who can:

  • Encourage teen girls to live boldly in faith

  • Write with warmth, clarity, and heart (not Chat GPT driven)

  • Share stories, devotionals, or practical life content that actually lands in real life, not just on the page

Experience? Nice, but not required. Heart, authenticity, and a fearless voice matter most.

Right Now

We aren’t actively accepting new writers, but don’t let that stop you. Submit your pitch anyway—we archive them for future opportunities and review everything carefully.

By pitching, you’re not just sending an idea; you’re joining the movement. You’re helping teen girls live boldly, rooted in Christ, and unafraid to shine.

Literally, Her.

THE OFFICIAL APPLICATION | 2027

GIRL. THIS IS YOUR MOMENT.

WAIT. WAIT. WAIT.

YOU? IN THE PAGES OF LITERALLY?

MA'AM. WE ARE UNWELL.

You guys have been asking to be featured in the magazine, and WE HEARD YOU. So we're officially introducing LITERALLY, HER. One girl. Every issue. An actual Literally reader getting her very own feature.

And before you start thinking, "Okay, but I'm literally just a regular girl..."

GIRL. THAT'S THE ENTIRE POINT.

We're not looking for the girl with the most followers, the wildest testimony, or a Bible that's been highlighted in 47 different colors. (Although, respect the stationery commitment.)

We're looking for girls who love Jesus, are learning to follow Him, and have a story to tell. Maybe your faith has been strong since you were little. Maybe you've had a hard year. Maybe you have approximately 900 questions about God.

WELCOME TO THE CLUB.

You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to sound super spiritual. And PLEASE don't write what you think we want to hear.

We want to meet YOU.

Grab a snack. Get comfy. Answer like you're talking to a friend. There are no bonus points for fancy words.

Ready to make this official?

OKAY, MAIN CHARACTER. LET'S GO.

PART ONE: Who even are you?

And no, "I don't know" is not three words. Well, technically it is. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT WE MEAN.

Sports? Books? Baking? Your dog? A very specific lip gloss? WE NEED THE LORE.

A hidden talent? A weird hobby? You can name all 50 states in alphabetical order? (If so, please explain your process.)

PART TWO: You + Jesus. The Good Stuff.

Okay, now we're getting to the heart of it. And NO, this is not a Bible test. Nobody is grading you. Put the flashcards away.

Have you known Him since you were little? Did something happen that made you want to follow Him? Are you still figuring things out?

There is no perfect testimony. We just want to hear yours.

Are you growing closer to Him? Learning to trust Him? Trying to remember to open your Bible before your phone? (THE STRUGGLE.)

Tell us what following Jesus looks like in your real, everyday life.

Maybe a hard season. An answered prayer. Someone who encouraged you. A Bible verse that hit DIFFERENT.

Big or small, we want to hear about it. You can skip this one if you'd rather keep something private.

Friendships? Confidence? Worry? Forgiveness? Trusting Him when life makes approximately ZERO sense?

You don't have to have the answer. That's kind of the point. Share only what you're comfortable sharing.

The one you have highlighted, memorized, taped to your mirror, or desperately need to remember on a Tuesday afternoon.

Tell us which one and WHY.

PART THREE: Your Mic. Your Moment.

Not what you think a pastor would say. What would YOU tell her?

Why would you love to be featured in Literally? What would you want other girls to know about your story?

This is your moment. WE ARE ALL EARS.

PART FOUR: Camera Roll, You're Up.

Upload ONE recent, clear photo of yourself!

No professional photoshoot. No elaborate posing. No need to convince your mom to book a photographer.

Just a clear photo where we can see your face!

Please upload a JPG, PNG, or HEIC photo. Make sure you have your parent or guardian's permission to share it.

PART FIVE: Bring In The Grown-ups.

We love you. We believe in you. But you are, in fact, still a minor.

SO WE NEED YOUR PARENT OR GUARDIAN TO SIGN OFF.

No sneaky submissions. No "my mom probably won't mind." No forging Dad's signature. MA'AM.

Please double-check it! We'll send them the permission form.

Has your parent or guardian said it's okay for you to apply?
Yes
Not yet

Your application can only move forward once your parent or legal guardian has completed the permission form.
